The prolific and revered design duo of Charles and Ray Eames produced many of Mid-Century Modern's design "icons." Here are their classic Wire Chair frames, overlapping to crate a fantastic composition. For the designers, what mattered most was the integrity of the form, function and context - or as Charles often said, "The best for the most for the least." The Monday Design Studio team are inspired ny pieces such as this, and often use simple, classic pieces such as the Wire Chair in their design projects.

Given Cleveland's weather these past 48 hours, is it any wonder why the Monday Design Studio team is already thinking about Spring and Summer 2015? Here is a little "color forecast" for next year from our Canada friends at telio textures. (photo credit: Katelyn Bishop). Looks like we will be seeing a lot of color next spring and at MDS, we LOVE color!
Another beautiful happening, brought to you by The Ohio Design Centre and the talented interior design community of northeast Ohio. Thanks, Julie Washington/Cleveland Plain Dealer, for the coverage!
Your home should be as unique and individual as you are - here are some fun "front doors" that let the world know something about you before the door is even opened. Thanks, Houzz, for the post!
Robin Siegerman is a 20-year veteran of the home design and renovation business. She is a published author and TV personality living in Toronto. At Monday Design Studio, we like her idea of the true purpose of design. We work to make people happy, too!
Here's a piece about the Pantone Hotel, which opened in Brussels, Belgium in 2010. Pantone is the world leader in color forecasting (Pantone Color of the Year), color trends and color formation. When Monday Design Studio travels to Brussels, the staff will be staying here. We are not sure when we are going, but...
It's been a day or so since Monday Design Studio posted about "Million Dollar Decorator" Kathryn Ireland - here she is in an advertisement for a collection she debuted in 2013 for venerable textile manufacturer, Scalamandre. Paired with the ad is a detail shot from the magnificent 1814 oil painting that inspired the campaign, "La Grande Odalisque," by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. Kathryn Ireland is one-of-a-kind!
Please forgive us, but we are "kinda' infatuated" with Kathryn Ireland here at Monday Design Studio. Not only is she an uber-talented designer, she makes the process seem FUN, one of OUR goals at Monday Design Studio. Kathryn? We raise our glasses to you!
You can never argue with advice from a "Million Dollar Decorator." We L.O.V.E. you, Kathryn Ireland - Monday Design Studio.
The Monday Design Studio team is free (in a spiritual sense, not in a cost-wise sense, LOL!) AND happy. Call us and find out for yourself.
