Tim Kempf, Principal
Tim Kempf has been working within the interior design/home furnishings industry for almost thirty years. Formally educated in both Art History and Interior Design, Tim has spent the past three decades in the interior design arena in wholesale and retail sales, as well as private practice interior design.
Tim's professional career includes many years spent representing some of the design industry's finest houses: Donghia, Stark, Dakota Jackson, Zimmer + Rohde, Glant and Baker Knapp & Tubbs, to name just a very few. These experiences provided an additional fifteen year education in luxury textiles and bench-made furniture. "On-the-job" training in luxury goods shaped and informed Tim's sense of style, exposing him to the finest in contemporary, transitional and traditional furniture forms, while expanding his knowledge of exquisite, high-end textiles.
Monday Design Studio is the latest venture for this design devotee. Previously, Kempf was in private practice at Kempf Design and most recently concluded a seven year partnership in duoHOME, both firms that specialized in residential interior design. In addition to his design skills, Tim also authored a series of interior design columns for "The Beachwood Buzz," a city newspaper in Beachwood, Ohio, and is frequently quoted as a design source/opinion in Cleveland Magazine, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Great Lakes Living and Northern Ohio Live Magazine. Tim was a contributing Home & Style columnist with Ohio Authority, Ohio's premier online magazine.
A brilliant space planner, Tim has a keen sense of color. He helps clients shape their ideas and vision into interiors that are beautiful, well-conceived and functional.
Martin Witkowski, Senior Design Associate
Martin Witkowski brings a fresh, European design perspective to the Monday Design Studio team. Formally educated in business, finance and communications, Martin also has a decade of experience working within the construction and home remodeling business.
Martin previously worked in both retail and wholesale furniture sales, and has years of field training in construction and home remodeling. Martin brings a youthful, more-focused perspective to the mix and his European background ensures that each Monday Design Studio project has a bit of "worldly flair."
Witkowski has been with Monday Design Studio since its inception and - in addition to his keen, edgy design choices - also created the original business plan/model for Monday Design Studio. Martin marries business sense with design creativity, resulting in interiors that are joyful, fun and unexpected. Martin brings an international eye to color and pattern, and his construction and remodeling knowledge make him a key member of the Monday Design Studio team.
